I just loved meeting up with Katie and James back in April to photograph their engagement session. They're full of love and spunk and overall cuteness which makes my job so easy. Aeris Photography. Edmonton. I've been so excited to photograph couples in love to commemorate Valentine's Day in Edmonton and had a fabulous time capturing this gorgeous couple. Melissa and Matt have been trying to set up a shoot with me for a while now and we ended up with the perfect day and the perfect weather. They are a couple who smile easily and laugh heartily - you can't get a more wonderful combination!

Lauren and Alvin were so much fun to photograph a few weeks ago! They chose to have their engagement session around the Royal Alberta Museum and it was lovely. I was pretty stoked when Erin messaged me last year about photographing her 2014 wedding to her sweet Love, Martijn. I know Erin from when I was her junior counselor at a camp about 15 years ago as well as from her sister being a bestie of my cousin (and one of her bridesmaids [see pics here]; I just LOVE when the world seems so small that way, you know??!). Erin and Martijn chose Hawrelak park for their engagement photos which ended up being the perfect choice for this chilly winter session. I was so happy when Susy and Chris contacted me earlier this year about photographing their wedding in 2014. I photographed them once before after they had their sweet little son as well as photographing Susy's sister's wedding several years ago. A few months ago I received a facebook message on my Aeris page from a local woman, Kerry, who had a few questions about photography and photo editing. I noticed (via facebook creeping) that we happened to know a lot of the same people which, along with talking about photography, opened up other avenues of conversation. Kerry has a start-up story similar to mine (she started learning photography due to the intense desire to have a hobby) and I found that a lot of her questions were quite similar to the questions I had a few years ago. Now I by no means claim to be a master of photography (maybe when I'm 90? I love to think I'll keep learning and growing for the rest of my life!) but I was more than happy to meet up and chat/get to know her/swap stories/etc. We ended up setting up a time to meet and photograph together. Kerry found a beautiful couple, Velvet and Pete, to model for us and we spend some time chatting, posing and photographing their love. Thanks, Velvet and Pete!!!
**Shout out time: Velvet is an Arbonne consultant in Sherwood Park and Edmonton. Ashley and Brad are the sweetest. Their recent engagement session was complete with pinterest-worthy outfits, a cute and cozy blanket, a sweet-as-can-be dog and, the best part - themselves! I even got a hug at the end of our time together <3 I can't wait to shoot their wedding next October!

I was sooo excited to photograph Graham and Kyla a few weeks ago. Graham had emailed me earlier in August with his awesome plan to surprise his girlfriend, Kyla, with a surprise photo shoot with a twist - A PROPOSAL!! Kyla works at the vet where I take my cat to get his nails trimmed and I put up with a few extra cat scratches just to avoid seeing Kyla and potentially screwing up the surprise! Graham asked Kyla to marry him. Kyla said yes :)

I met Penny through my dear cousin, Lisa, and couldn't help but instantly love her bubbly personality. Penny and her fiance, Tony, seem to LOVE to laugh which always makes my job way more fun. You know when people come into your life and then your life becomes richer because of it? That's what it's like with Lee-Ann and Mike. I worked with Lee-Ann for several years (and got to get to know Mike along the way). Both of them are full of the smiles and optimisim that are crazy contangious. I love it. And I love them! I can't wait to photograph their wedding this September!!
Cindy and Graham came all the way from Fort McMurray for our weekend engagement shoot this past January. It was sooo chilly but we made it work by having a nice little coffee break inbetween outdoor shots. I can't wait to photograph their wedding this July!
Photographing Karly and Tim was like a breath of fresh air. If you know Karly then you're likely laughing a lot because she's hilarious. She comes across as very joyful and very quick to giggle. I loved meeting her and Tim out at her parent's acreage. We got some great shots (and they have a freaking donkey!!!).
